Op. Dr. Ümit Erbil, 1976 yılında Giresun, Türkiye'de doğdu. Tıp eğitimine gönül veren Dr. Erbil, bu tutkusunu İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde sürdürdü ve 1998 yılında buradan mezun oldu. Tıp fakültesi yılları boyunca gösterdiği üstün başarı ve derin ilgi, onun genel cerrahi alanında ihtisas yapmasının temelini oluşturdu.
