1980 yılında Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nden mezun olmuştur.1983 yılında Üroloji ihtisasını tamamlamıştır.1987 yılında Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde yardımcı doçentliğe atanmıştır. 1990 da Doçent, 1995 te Profesör olmuştur. Rutin üroloji'ye ek olarak laparoskopik, robotik cerrahi ve renal transplantasyon ile uğraşmaktadır.
