Prof.Dr Burcu Altunrende 2000 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi'nden mezun olmuştur.Nöroloji ihtisasını Şişli Etfal Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Nöroloji Kliniği'nde tamamladı. 2007- 2012 arasında Abant İzzet Baysal Tıp Fakültesi Nöroloji Ana Bilim Dalı'nda Yardımcı Doçent olarak görev yaptı. 2012 yılından itibaren Grup Florence Nightingale Hastaneleri'nde Nöroloji bölümünde görev yapmaktadır.
