1980 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpasa Tıp Fakültesi'nden mezun oldu. 1985 yılında İzmir Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim dalında ihtisasını tamamladı. İzmir Alsancak Devlet Hastanesi'nde Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum uzmanı olarak görev yaptı. İstanbul Alman Hastanesi'nde 4 yıl serbest olarak görev yaptı.
