Dr. Meral Tangay 1992 yılında Trakya üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden mezun olmuştur. 1992-1994 yılları arasında Gümüşhane Ana-Çocuk sağlığı merkezinde mecburi hizmetini tamamlamıştır. 1994-1998 yılları arasında Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroloji departmanında ihtisas eğitimini tamamlamış, nöroloji uzmanı olmuştur.
