I would like to share the negative experience I had with Dr. S.S., a Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Specialist at Adana Çukurova State Hospital, regarding patient communication. When I went for an examination due to hair loss, I unfortunately did not find the care and compassion I expected from a doctor. On the contrary, I was met with a scolding tone and was examined in a condescending manner without even being given the opportunity to ask my questions. As someone seeking health at the hospital, such behavior deeply upset me. I learned that many patients have also complained about the same doctor, and I believe this situation should not be ignored. I request that necessary warnings be given to S.S. to treat patients more respectfully and humanely. We patients need and deserve emotional as well as physical support during the treatment process. Such behaviors make us more vulnerable and undermine our trust in healthcare services.
