1990 yılında SSK Okmeydanı Hastanesinden ihtisasını alan Dr. Yıldırım, İhlas Holding AŞ. İstanbul/Fatihteki İhlas Polikliniğinde KBB uzmanı olarak çalışmaya başladı. 1993’ yılında Türkiye Hastanesine geçen Dr. Yıldırım 1999’dan bu yana özellikle "uykuda solunum bozuklukları tedavisi" ve "baş dönmesi tedavileri" üzerinde çalışmalarını yoğunlaştırmıştır.
