Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yılmaz Şarlak, omurga eğrilikleri ve kemik yumuşak doku tümörleri konusunda yurtdışında Kore ve Amerika deneyimlerinin ardından 1995 yılında Kocaeli Üniversitesi’ne gelerek Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı’nı kurmuştur. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şarlak, OrthoPoint Omurga ve Sporcu Sağlığı Merkezi'nde hastalarına hizmet vermektedir.
